Ice Solution for Hot Students

A University in Liuzhou has come-up with a novel solution to student complaints of overheating - by delivering them large blocks of ice.

The students at Lushan College had complained about a lack of air conditioning in heat of 35 degrees celcius.

BBC News reports that the local power network is not yet ready to cope with demand for additional air conditioning units.

So, as an interim solution, a lorry load of ice blocks has been arriving everyday.

It's not clear how useful the ice is in cooling-down sweltering student rooms, but photos have emerged of students finding alternative uses for it, such as ice slides, igloo building and (of course) drink cooling!
