A growing number of Hollywood films are relying on Chinese demand to turn a profit.
In June, we reported that the release of the film adaptation of 'Warcraft' happened in China before America, in a record breaking day.
Now, film specialist HitFix claims that the sequel to Pacific Rim, Pacific Rim 2, wouldn't have been made if it wasn't for string demand in the Country.
Apparently, box office receipts of Pacific Rim were disappointing in the USA, but strong in China.
The sequel is set for release in February 2018, and is rumoured to star Charlie Hunnam, Herc Hansen and Hannibal Chau.
